Park Hill apartments, currently known as Park Hill Estates is an existing 104 unit apartment community, consisting of 16 one and two story, garden style buildings constructed in the late 1960's and early 1970's. The community is situated in a park like setting with mature landscaping and an intimate neighborhood feel. Several of the buildings are duplexes with yards creating and even more inviting residential environment. While the Park Hill Apartment Homes has been well maintained over the last several years, they still require further renovation and lack many of the modern amenities common in apartment communities constructed more recently.
            Utilizing a development team experienced in renovating communities similar to the Park Hill Apartment Homes, we plan to significantly rehabilitate and upgrade the community. The property will be unique in its ability to provide a safe, affordable, quality rental community with a wider variety of amenities, in a central convenient location. The renovation will include a wide variety of interior and external repairs and improvements designed to not only extend the useful life of the physical buildings but also enhance the lives of the residents. This may include adding children’s play areas, an exercise room, a computer lab and business center, adding a barbecue and picnic area, and replacement or repair of major building components such as roofs and siding.
            Once fully rehabilitated, 30% of the units will serve families earning 50% or less of the Area Income for King County. These income restrictions will be secures through agreements entered into between the projects owner and the Washington State Housing Finance Commission, as part of the project’s financing.
